We will soon be having a Diaper Drive that our young parents will be organizing and participating in. We will also be having a BBQ this saturday (5.16.09) if you’d like further information please contact Kaaren at 206.334.7414

We are planning loads of fun this summer kicking it off with the Mariners game on tuesday May 19th and field trip to the Zoo on June 13th.

So we have finally finished our Operation Frontline program. The teens were excited to have gotten a Certification of completion, for some this was the first time they had finished anything at all. They were excited and I could see the pride in thier faces as they got their named called for their certificate and goody bag. For the week of April 18th we will be having a CPR infant certification class.

For the week of May 4th we took a trip to the grocery store with a budget of ten dollars. Our parents had to think of a healthy meal with the ten dollars. Next week will be our graduation from the cooking class….. Hurray!!!! Then the CPR. I’m hoping to have a good turn out for that class as well..

Our program is currently participating with Operation Frontline. I encourage young adults and teen parents to come and participate. We will be having a CPR class in the upcoming month or so.

I’ve never blogged before this, but I’m hoping I can get better at is as I go along. I’d like to say that I absolutely love the Teen Parent Program I attend on Saturdays with Gladys and Kaaren. Not only do I feel connected to other teen parents but I feel a sense of community and trust with all the people I’ve grown to know and Love.
