FamilyWorks, too, has seen this trend: not only a huge increase in the number of food bank clients, but also a change in the demographics: more and more younger people who formerly had little awareness of food banks in their areas. This article also discusses the interesting note that while food banks are seeing a rise in donations despite the tough economy, due to rising food prices, it’s still increasingly difficult for food banks to make ends meet.
