Teen parent programs could be Cut from California Schools

California Teen Parent programs, which have increased the high school graduation rate from 20% to 75%, are at risk of being cut. Each district has the ability to choose which of its low-tier programs will get cut, and Cal-SAFE is a part of that group. This is an interesting program both in terms of what it conveys about the values of our education system and as a potential model for Seattle schools. Including day care, transportation, classes, and more, Cal-SAFE appears to be fairly comprehensive. We hope funding is found to continue the programs! Teen parent programs could be cut from schools – San Bernardino County Sun
